Rigathi Gachagua, born February 28, 1965, is a prominent Kenyan politician known for his roles in the Jubilee Party. He served as the 2nd deputy president of Kenya from September 13, 2022, to October 2024, after being impeached. Gachagua also holds the position of Party leader of DCP Kenya, which was launched on May 15, 2025. His career includes a variety of government roles, including Assistant secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs and National Heritage, a personal assistant to the Head of the Public Service, and various district officer positions. He previously worked as a Member of Parliament for Mathira from 2017 to 2022. In the 2022 election, he was selected by William Ruto.
